Notes on Putting This Project Together

Assorted Notes on Project Reality

Part 1: Places on There

  • Blackboard Summary: A simple section summary request that Gemini handled easily. I swapped the brick wall for wood to better match my café on Mango Market.

  • Mango Market Island: I asked Gemini to tone down the dense trees and add a manicured lawn, which made a huge difference. I also tweaked the mango in the title, adding a center hole so it reads more clearly as an "O."

  • Mango Market Sign: Pretty happy with how this turned out, even if I wish the mango was slightly rounder. I decided to leave it as-is—there are only so many hours in a day!

  • Mike Cesar Shop: Only needed a few minor tweaks. I refreshed the palm trees for a cleaner look and updated the shop sign—that futuristic font fits our resident boy genius perfectly.

  • Rowdi Designs Shop: The only change here was requesting and receiving a "quaint sign." I really love the final result, and I hope Rowdi does as well!

  • Words and Lyrics Café: Thrilled with the overall vibe here. My only tiny nitpick is that Gemini randomly replaced the wall art with a Van Gogh self-portrait. Go figure!

  • T-Con Award: My one humblebrag in this entire collection. Thanks again, Francis7!

  • Goober’s GBR Dealership: The original daytime scene wasn't landing, so I flipped the lighting to nighttime and dialed in the artificial illumination. Not perfect, but a massive improvement.

  • GBR Grand Opening Sign: An image I originally featured on the blog. My only real critique is the buggy—it isn't actually purchasable on There—but I decided to leave it in anyway.

Part 2: My Rides

  • ZMW at Mango Market: I love using the island as a backdrop for these shots. My only changes were editing out a stray neon tree, a background neon flamingo, and some tacky gold trim above the front right fender.

  • Frosty Island Buggy: Please ignore the satellite dishes in the background! Other than that, this is easily one of my favorite vehicle shots in the entire collection.

  • Goober’s Demo Buggy: I initially removed the window decals since I don't own the featured model, but I put them back after Goobs gave the green light. The decals also help mask an annoying, A.I.-created dark area on the glass!

  • Parking Garage Shots: I used Goober’s ground-level garage for a few shots, and I’m a huge fan of that raw, industrial look.

  • Rattler TUV Jeep (M.M. Island): My brother’s personal favorite—probably because he drives a Wrangler in real life.

  • Red ZMW GT: The initial AI render felt a little flat, so I added a rear roof rack and some chrome accents to give it more character. Miles better than the original image created by Gemini.

  • Blue SUV Display: Requested a luxury showroom with a raised platform to showcase the SUV. Hats off to Samantha Cool for the wheel design and ZMW for the bumpers!

  • Garage Preview: Another shot utilizing Goober's parking structure.

Part 3: The Talent Arrives!

  • Touchscreen Intro: Thought this was a fun, interactive way to kick off Part 3 and give a nod to everyone involved in the project.

  • 3rd Eye: Fantastic shot. That entire sci-fi backdrop was added by Gemini, and I decided to keep it.

  • Goober_Goalie: I joked with Goobs that Gemini somehow transformed him into an NFL middle linebacker in this frame.

  • Groundhog Sandy: Groundhog Nation captured in a single image! Fun fact: I had to add gloves to Sandy's hands because her left hand was rendered a bit blurry in the initial output.

  • Kiryahava: Having a bounce house right next to a concrete sidewalk is a lawsuit waiting to happen—I swear I didn't prompt that placement!

  • L0AF: Another absolute winner.

  • Luca’s Coke Buggy: An awesome render featuring my café in the background. A little product placement never hurts.

  • Matthewkg & Blue SUV: Oof... looking at this shot makes me wish I was 27 again!

  • Pennylouise: Effortlessly repping both Superwoman and Spider-Man. Easily one of my favorites from the set.

  • Rosie: Wow... absolutely spectacular in every way!

  • Sweet4Chilli: My very first model to pose for a shot. Looking great, Carrie!

And I will conclude with something short and simple... GH4LIFE!
