Super-Bowl Venue Tour!

 

Let's take a tour of our Super-Bowl venue. We'll begin at the Samurai Statue and work our way around the room, taking note of all the images, game photos, and other items on display. Hope you have a great time, and don't forget to drop in on my Super Bowl 60 Watch Party on February 8th, Sunday. Doors open at 6 pm Eastern, and the game begins at 6:30 pm!

A personal favorite. Fun fact for the tour: my father and I won tickets to a Hall of Fame weekend event in 2016, attended a Sirius/XM show, and got to personally meet the legendary Packers QB after the show wrapped up.

Remembering a Friend...

  Not too long ago, I logged onto there.com and began browsing the event schedule. I was shocked to see a buggy event listed as a tribute to Lars_lars, who had passed away in early November 2025. I do not know the details of his passing, but what I and everyone else in this world do know is he was taken from us much too soon. In one of my last chats with Lars, we discussed the resurgence of there.com this past May and summer. We talked about the influx of new people, some of whom stayed on and others who were mostly virtual tourists passing by. In the comments section of Glob's massively popular Youtube video, Lars expressed thanks to him for rejuvenating our world.   In 2018, some friends and I decided to attend a prom event on there. We were supposed to be a group of three couples, but my friend Phebe's date was unfortunately a no-show. Odds and Ends...

  Now that the Fair is over, I wanted to look back and reflect on all the activities and events of the past couple weeks. I am really glad I decided to share my event space with diaryainzon and her Writing Club. I had a pretty large lot at one end of the fairgrounds, and collaborating with Di made things a lot more fun. Her gypsy-caravan vibe was a nice contrast to my event space that featured sports events, podcasts, and movies on a somewhat regular basis. My watch party for the Steelers-Texans game was a highlight during the fair. We started out with a small group of fans, some wearing Steelers gear. More people joined throughout the evening, and others drifted through and chatted for a while before departing. Geomite showed up wearing a number 77 Steelers jersey, and he proceeded to give the ladies in attendance black-and-gold cheerleading outfits. Amen, brother!
